Chichester Harbour National Landscape is a thriving recreational Harbour and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, internationally recognised for rare habitats and protected species. Stretching over 74km2, or 9,226 acres, the Harbour remains fairly undeveloped, and is a fantastic example of a natural environment.
Just 15 minutes away in the heart of West Sussex is the picturesque town of Arundel, dominated by its Norman Castle and surrounded by ancient woodlands. Straddling the river Arun, one of the fastest flowing rivers in Europe, Arundel is a gateway to the new South Downs National Park.
The extensive acres of neatly mown grass close to the beach are perfect for parking, and picnics. The sea is popular with wind and kite surfers, while shallow lagoons are left on extensive sandy flats at low tide. The whole area is internationally recognised for its wildlife, birds and unique beauty.
